Several nationally known companies make Berrien County their home, including Chaparral Boats, Propex Fabrics, Berrien County Hospital and Berrien County Board of Education. 

The Berrien County Industrial Park is currently at full capacity; however the county is currently in the process of developing an additional park in northern Berrien County just outside of Enigma on highway 82. 

What is the largest industry in Berrien County?  The answer is agriculture.  Berrien County boasts 65,000 acres of farmland planted each year with an economic value of more than $96,000,000.  The county produces a wide array of crops such as corn, soybeans, peanuts, cotton vegetable, swine, beef, poultry and forestry.
